Papers regarding the Cocke family estate Bremo include: an agreement, 1815 November 4, between John Hartwell Cocke and Thomas Whitlaw regarding construction work; accounts 1815-1819; an elevation drawing, ca. 1817, of Bremo with comments and a drawing, n.d., of serpentine walls. The collection further contains financial papers of John Hartwell Cocke as well as letters to his daughter-in-law, Sally Courtney Bowdoin Cocke of Mt. Pleasant, Va.
